The background was done in gold paint and it looked lovely, but you cant get that translated in a photo!

Going back a few years to an earlier design...puppies done in sepia tones on a warm white porcelain ornament

Elvis Ornament

This was a special commission, pushing the boundries of my comfort level....people are difficult enough to paint, but when its someone famous...pressure!
I was very happy with the outcome though; the ornament itself was done in a mixture of warm, soft whites/greys and blues. I didnt get a good pic of it, but on the back I hand scripted "I'll have a Blue Christmas..."

Another porcelain ornament, this is a husky named Sierra
and, nope, I didn't draw her funny :-)
This girl had an injury when she was a puppy which
permanently damaged her facial nerve and left her
with a perpetual grin and half wink!
