Pumpkins are 'pose to be orange!

-SOLD-
"PUMPKINS ARE 'POSE TO BE ORANGE!"
5"x5" Watercolour on 140lb. Arches paper

This week Karin Jurick's community blog, Different Strokes from Different Strokes had a picture of three white pumpkins as the subject matter.

Well, I was informed that pumpkins are supposed to be orange, not white...and as they say, "...out of the mouths of babes...(come some fun ideas!).

Here is my contribution....

This piece is available, and 50% of the final selling price will be donated to the Children's Wish Foundation.

Kim, this is brilliant perfection!! I couldn't for the life of me figure out anything creative to do with these pumpkins, and most peoples' look like onions or garlic - mine included! I'm just finishing my painting now, but when I saw yours I just had to say YES! She got it!

Love seeing your puppies and other animals too -

I have been enjoying looking in on your blog, but this painting made my week! What is so great about it isn't just that it was such a clever idea (which it really, really was!) but that you made it such a lovely piece with the way you handled the paint.
Brilliant!

Kim, I love your version of the pumpkins! I couldn't think of anything thrilling to do with them either, so I was particularly impressed when I saw yours. Perfect!

What a clever concept and so well done. It was a thrill to come across it after a string of white pumpkins. I was thinking "I want orange" and then, there it was.

Beautiful design.
